Butler Bulldog

Butler Bulldog was not having a good day, in fact the whole week had not been good. He had been hired by a new family to be their butler over 2 weeks ago. They were currently living in a rented house in central London. For the past week, they had been looking at houses in the country, but every one they had seen, had not been good enough and this one had been no different.

His gentleman came out of the house and he was not happy."We need to change estate agents, they are not listening." He said. Bulldog nodded and said "yes sir, I will arrange this, this evening." His gentleman giggled and replied, " thank you bulldog, at least you get us, let's get back to London and have dinner."Dinner thought Bulldog, I will need to phone cook and arrange that.

The son came over to Bulldog and said "Bulldog, do you have anymore food in the hamper?" Bulldog looked, it was empty and cook had put enough food in it, to feed an army. The son really loved his food, Bulldog thought the son would have eaten the actual hamper, if he could. "Bulldog, I am so hungry, I am going to faint." Bulldog giggled and replied, "sir, you have eaten half the hamper, I don't think you will faint."

With Bulldog's help, his family found a new estate agent, she was amazing, but accident prone. Within a week she found some amazing homes to show the family. Bulldog was happy, as for the first time, he was seeing his family smiling. His gentleman whispered to Bulldog, "this home is exactly what we are looking for, but we are trying hard not to laugh when she keeps falling over things." Bulldog giggled and so did he.

The daughter of the family loved their new home, best of all she loved the gardens. She was very keen on gymnastics and immediately seeing the gardens was tumbling all over the place. Which normally would be great, but at the time Bulldog had a tray full of lemonade and she didn't see him until it was too late. This led to everyone being covered in lemonade, but nobody minded, because it was a perfect day.

His gentleman was very pleased with Bulldog, not only has he helped them find the perfect home, but he was also an amazing butler and he helped them understand the English ways, but always protecting their traditional ways and respecting them. Within a month the house was furnished and the family and Bulldog had moved in. That's when Bulldog's problems started and having him pulling his hair out.

Bulldog was constantly having problems finding the family when it came to meal time. The house was enormous and the garden even bigger and it was becoming really hard to find them. Where ever he looked he could not find them and then suddenly they would appear from nowhere. They would never tell him where they had been. However, Bulldog hatched a plan to find out where they kept hiding.

One evening came to serve dinner to the family, not only were they not there, but the table had not been laid. "This was too much", he said to himself. He went in search of the staff who should have laid the table, but even they had disappeared. By now steam was coming out of Bulldog's ears, he was so angry, "what if the family come in now." He went to talk to cook, she would know what was going on.

When Bulldog got to the kitchen, there was no one there, not even cook. What was worse, there was nothing cooking. "What is going on?", Bulldog said out loud. This was now driving him crazy, not only was his family constantly missing, but now the staff had gone missing too. Bulldog decided once and for all to get to the bottom of this mystery. This time he was going to search every inch of the house and gardens.

After searching the house and gardens, he found what he was looking for. There was a huge tent and there was his family, cook and the rest of the staff. His gentleman told Bulldog, the tent was called a Bedouin tent and it was  a traditional tent. Bulldog's nose twitched, the smells were amazing, " are you hungry?" Said his gentleman, Bulldog nodded. "My wife has been teaching cook some of our dishes."

"We loved our Bedouin tent in the desert, so we decided to have one here. Being a butler, we thought you would not approve, so kept it a secret." Bulldog giggled and replied "I love it, give me a tray and let me serve you all."  His gentleman was so impressed he gave Bulldog 2 weeks holiday. As he tanned himself on the beach, Bulldog thought how different his new family was, "different is definitely good"
